Two things:
1- At church, I was rushing to return something to the library in between singing times and I stopped to talk to the ward choir director about Mother's Day songs for Sacrament meeting. We had such a nice talk... she is someone I have admired from a distance and I felt like the Lord had a hand in our conversation. I hope to get to know her better. She is down to earth and real. I love it.

2- Tonight during dinner, G was getting a little crazy and that drives me crazy. The thought came to my mind to tell him a joke because he's been into "funny jokes" lately and his sense of humor is really blossoming. So I sat down and told him a knock-knock joke which he thought was hilarious... that led to more knock-knock jokes and some serious silliness that made us all laugh. Laughing is far better than yelling and threatening. I am thankful for that little inspiration and I hope I will be better able to hear, understand, and heed those promptings as a mother (and wife).
