I am back...
I finished up my post and realized that I had a neat experience yesterday that I should write down. Dad watched Spencer for me while I went to the doctor yesterday morning. I had a couple of prescriptions to pick up, and I went straight to Walmart to get them. Walmart in Springville isn't particularly efficient with customer service, check out lines, etc. (I don't think they have enough employees). To add to the already constant buzz in Walmart, it was there re-grand-opening following the renovation of the store. So, my trip ended up being a lot longer than I exptected. I called dad to let him know where I was, and he told me that him and Spencer were doing just fine. He was so nice about the time I was taking, that I didn't even worry anymore about hurrying up! (That is a wonderful feeling!) So, on the way home, I was about to pass Reams, and I thought about stopping to get some of their yummy bakery bread. I love it, and I know dad does too. Remembering that dad and Spencer were "just fine," I stopped.
As I was checking out, I glanced behind me and saw a wrinkled but lovely hand putting groceries on the check out belt. I had the thought that is was an old woman. Then I did a double take, and realized that is was Grandma Wake underneath a wide brimmed hat. I gave her a hug, and she told me that she had decided to walk to Reams and get a few groceries because she had cleaned out her fridge before she left to visit Arthur in California. (I guess she just got back a few days ago). She told me that I was an answer to prayer because she had walked to Reams hoping that she would run into someone who could give her a ride home. I was so glad I could be there--it was fun.
Then, Grandma told me that she could get away with looking like an old lady because Arthur had leaned over to her during church and told her she was pretty. Grandma said that if her son thinks she is pretty at 86 years of age, she is fine with that! She was soo cute, and so thrilled he had told her that. How often do we tell people they are beautiful when we think it? We should do it more. Cheri taught me that one time at Olive Garden. She approached a stranger and told her how pretty her hair was. I thought it was wierd at first, and then I realized it wasn't wierd, it was nice!
By the way--Dad is on a walk with Spencer right now which is also a blessing from the Lord. Otherwise I couldn't record these thoughts!
I love you all!

Thanks so much! I loved reading your posts, and they were uplifting. Dad has been such a blessing watching my kids, as well... that phrase, "just fine" is so good to hear as a mom. Thanks Dad!
